The role
As an Operational Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a key role in supporting operational excellence across a busy and dynamic defence environment. Working closely with the Senior Operations Manager and wider management team, you'll help coordinate essential administrative activities that keep the site running efficiently and effectively.
Day-to-day, you'll be required to:
- Preparing and distributing weekly communications and cascade briefings across the site
- Managing and maintaining site noticeboards and digital communication platforms
- Supporting meetings, audits and site visits, including preparing records, reports and presentation materials
- Maintaining operational trackers, business continuity plans, safety documentation and RAID registers
- Taking accurate meeting notes, tracking actions and following up on outstanding activities
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Bovington.
Essential experience of the Operational Administrator
- Using enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP or similar business systems
- Providing administrative support within a busy operational, engineering, manufacturing or corporate environment
- Managing multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail
- Using Microsoft Office applications to produce reports, presentations and business documents
- Communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across different teams
Qualifications for the Operational Administrator
- Educated to Level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework, such as GCSE Grade C/4 or above, NVQ Level 1, Diploma Level 1, or equivalent qualification
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
