Contracts Officer

About the role

The “Contracts Officer” coordinates and leads the review process to guarantee that contracts are circulated and finalized promptly. Monitor and identify potential issues within the contracts, inform line manager, and suggest ways to mitigate any risks. Act swiftly to address any non-compliance to align with QR standards and company policies. Foster collaboration across departments by actively engaging with relevant teams and both internal and external stakeholders for contract input, negotiations, and advice.

• Provide regular updates to the Contracts Manager on contract performance ensuring any issues are clearly communicated and corrected in a timely manner.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of contract statuses, ensuring it is consistently updated with the latest contract information and performance metrics.
• Manage and track vendor creation in QCAS for new suppliers, and lead coordination with suppliers and contractors for further processing.
• Raise Q-CAS requests as per management instructions and ensure all necessary actions are initiated promptly.
• Work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines and meet expectations in line with department objectives.
• Draft contracts as requested by the Contracts Manager or Legal Department in accordance with business requirements.
• Ensure knowledge of, and strict compliance with QR Group standards and company policies and procedures.
• Highlight exceptions and deviations from group policies, procedures, and regulatory and mandatory requirements to ensure QR Group’s interests are protected.
• Provide client/partner support to ensure the smooth flow of information between key stakeholders, resolving any infringements arising from existing contracts.
• Maintain a register for all the templates and standard terms and conditions.
• Propose and initiate the standardization of terms and conditions for various types of contracts and business models.
• Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department
