What You Will Do
As a Systems Engineering Intern at Collins Aerospace (RTX), you will support a multidisciplinary engineering team by contributing to verification activities, structured analysis, and documentation efforts within a complex aerospace systems environment.
Assist with requirements interpretation, structured testing activities, and analysis of system behavior.
Document engineering observations, compile evidence, and communicate results to mentors and teammates.
Contribute to process‑focused improvements such as standardizing documentation formats and strengthening traceability between requirements, evaluations, and results.
Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines, gaining hands‑on exposure to real‑world systems engineering workflows.
Participate in regular team meetings to review progress, plan weekly objectives, and share findings.
Demonstrate strong ownership of assigned tasks and follow through to completion.
Ask clear, well‑formed technical questions and seek guidance appropriately.
Maintain professionalism, reliability, and strong communication across all interactions.
Work independently when appropriate while knowing when to involve teammates or mentors.
