In this role you will
Be responsible for certification activities for aircraft seating products within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes business unit, producing STCs that allow post-delivery installation of new seating products.
Serve as a Boeing representative for stress, engineering and certification topics related to the integration of aircraft seating.
Perform analytical and finite element (FE) calculations, assess and predict structural failure modes, including execution of root cause analysis.
Compile structural substantiation documents and review data from our suppliers for integration approval of seats (all seat types, including those with unique features) into the airframe.
Work closely with Boeing teams and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure our products are delivered in the correct condition and quality.
Basic qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in Stress/Structures/Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.
5+ years of related work experience in aerospace engineering, including stress analysis, supplier integration, and understanding of the EASA Part 21J certification process.
