Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer Field Ops to join our Networks team in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure across multiple client sites, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems. This role involves both on-site and remote support, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site and remote 1st and 2nd line support for network-related incidents and service requests.
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware.
Perform structured cabling tasks, including termination, testing, and certification of Cat5e/Cat6 and fibre optic cables.
Patch and manage copper, fibre, and telephony connections in data rooms and data centres.
Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain optimal service levels.
Diagnose hardware and software faults and escalate issues to vendors or third-party providers where necessary.
Collaborate with clients, service desk teams, and system owners to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including updates in ticketing systems.
Ensure network documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories are kept up to date.
Adhere to health & safety standards and site procedures when performing field work.
