YOUR ROLE AS A:
The Technical Services Engineer – System for AirAsia X is responsible for providing engineering support and technical expertise to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective performance of the Airbus fleet. This role requires proactive monitoring, evaluation, and resolution of aircraft systems and avionics issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting continuous airworthiness.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION
Monitor and evaluate aircraft systems performance and reliability trends to ensure fleet operational availability and safety.
Provide engineering support for troubleshooting aircraft system defects and propose corrective actions.
Review and action manufacturer-issued service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and technical documentation.
Develop engineering orders, work scopes, and technical instructions for aircraft modifications and repairs.
Coordinate with maintenance teams, OEMs, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Support scheduled maintenance planning, ensuring all technical requirements are incorporated.
Ensure compliance with AirAsia X Engineering & Maintenance procedures and applicable aviation regulations.
Assist in improving maintenance processes through data analysis, reliability studies, and best practices.
WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline from a recognized institution OR minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Airbus fleet maintenance/engineering.
Experience with Airbus A330 systems preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Familiar with aviation regulations and standards (EASA/CAAM).
Able to manage timelines and work independently under pressure.
Candidates with experience in project management, research development, or community engagement have an added advantage.
