The Boeing Company is currently seeking Flight Software Engineers (Associate/Experienced/Senior) to support our Flight Software Team located in El Segundo, CA or Mountain View, CA. In this role, the individual will lead a team with design, implementation, and test of flight software with a focus on leadership, quality, earned value, and development of new capabilities for current and future satellite programs. This position will support the Boeing Defense Services ( BDS ) business organization.
We are seeking Software Engineers that are passionate about space and excited to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment that supports the design, development, and implementation of software for existing and emerging Boeing commercial and government space programs.
This exciting software engineer position requires demonstrated experience within the software ecosystem, a diverse background of project experience, and the clear exhibition of superior judgment and decision making to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities of multiple software programming projects. Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting skills are required.
Position Responsibilities (P2)
Support the design, integration, modification, test, and debugging of software that is integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry, customer, safety and regulation standards
Assist with review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements for software products for embedded devices and systems
Support building and writing code for embedded systems software to run on specific specialized hardware.
Contribute to integration of embedded software with hardware components
Support analysis, monitoring and improving the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems.
Participate in testing and debugging software for embedded devices and systems
Responsible for satellite and payload software safety, assurance, quality, and engineering excellence.
Assist in producing design and test documentation and artifacts
