Position Summary
The Heavy Check Engineer plans, coordinates, and provides engineering oversight for scheduled heavy maintenance events across PSA Airlines' fleet. Serves as the primary engineering liaison between PSA, Maintenance Repair Organizations (MROs), and internal stakeholders, ensuring inspections, repairs, and modifications are completed safely and in compliance with FAA and manufacturer requirements. Evaluates complex maintenance findings, develops engineering repair solutions, and supports troubleshooting and corrective actions throughout the heavy maintenance process. Drives aircraft reliability and return-to-service objectives through technical problem-solving, process improvement, and regulatory compliance. Job Responsibilities
Oversight of the Heavy Maintenance work packages and repairs assigned to the aircraft.
Evaluate unexpected findings during heavy check to support the creation of technical documents and coordinate approved engineering repairs.
Providing engineering support for troubleshooting complex technical issues, collaborating with MROs to repair issues, and reviewing logbooks.
Create and implement scheduled aircraft modifications, repairs, and structural upgrades (e.g., cabin reconfiguration, avionics updates).
