Job Details The U.S. Preclearance Passenger Agent is responsible for assisting with the pre-screening and processing of passengers travelling to the United States, ensuring that required travel documents and passenger information are accurately verified before passengers proceed to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) processing. Their role is generally to support the passenger-processing/preclearance operation and ensure passengers are properly prepared before proceeding to the U.S. inspection area. Responsibilities include: Verify passengers' passports, boarding passes, travel documents, and other required information. Conduct preliminary checks to ensure passengers meet the requirements to proceed to U.S. preclearance. Process and direct passengers through designated pre-screening areas. Identify documentation discrepancies or irregularities and refer them to the appropriate supervisor. Maintain accurate passenger records and follow established procedures. Manage passenger queues and maintain an efficient flow through the preclearance process. Follow strict airport, airline, security, and CBP procedures. Escalate security, documentation, or passenger-related concerns when required. Deliver professional customer service in a busy, international airport environment. Qualifications and Competencies High School diploma or GED equivalent Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) in French and English, Available to work on split shift without restriction up to 32 hours/week Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment, Attentive to detail and committed to continuous improvement, Self motivated and able to work independently, Must be at least 18 years old. Eligible to work in Canada with a valid, open work permit. Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required, Must be able to type and learn airline specific computer reservation/ ticketing software.
