- Act as resident/customer inspector at Airbus and/or Boeing final assembly facilities, monitoring aircraft build against the airline's purchase specification and configuration.
- Witness key production hold points, structural closeouts, systems installations, and functional/operational tests.
- Track and disposition non-conformances, concessions, and open job/traveled work; assess impact on airworthiness, schedule, and long-term maintenance cost.
- Inspect cabin and BFE (seats, galleys, IFE, cabin systems) for fit, finish, and conformity to contracted layout.
- Review build records, weight & balance data, and certificates of conformity.
- Attend milestone/status reviews with OEM customer quality teams and escalate issues to airline engineering/program management.
- Observe or participate in production/acceptance flights (e.g., Airbus acceptance flight, Boeing B-1/B-2 flights).
- Conduct final acceptance walk-down and review delivery documentation (Certificate of Airworthiness, Certificate of Conformity) before signing the Acceptance Certificate.
- Coordinate with airline planning, finance, and operations teams to ensure the aircraft is ready for entry into service on schedule.
2.Aircraft Redelivery Project Management:
- Lead technical redelivery planning for aircraft returning to lessors, starting well ahead of lease expiry (typically 12–24 months lead time).
- Review lease return conditions (LRCs) and reconcile against current aircraft technical status (records, maintenance status, damage history, modification/STC status).
- Plan and manage redelivery inspections, borescope inspections, records audits, and rectification work packages.
- Coordinate with MRO providers, lessor technical representatives, and internal engineering/maintenance planning to close out discrepancies before physical redelivery.
- Manage aircraft records reconciliation/digitization to meet lessor and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with commercial and legal teams to resolve issues arising from redelivery conditions and lease settlement.
- Represent the airline during the physical redelivery inspection and sign-off with the lessor's technical representative.
