About the role

You will conduct urgent and high priority procurement activities in support of Babcock for both services and materials.

This position will assist the Materials Coordinator and work closely with key stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure urgent and high priority materials and services are available for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Under the direction of the Materials Coordinator ensure an effective and productive expediting team
• Work as directed in the raising of urgent and high priority requests for items of supply (IOS) and expediting their delivery
• Closely managing and tracking the movement of the material to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Under the direction of the Materials Coordinator engage with members of the Engineering and Maintenance teams in understanding the stores and material requirements for future ships availabilities or defect rectification.
• Engage collaboratively with all suppliers and stakeholders that are members of the Babcock Supply Chain to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain process and always providing clear and accurate communication.
• Ensure all procurement Information systems are accurate and the data contained in the systems is well maintained

About you

You will work closely with the respective Project Manager to track and coordinate materials in support of EMP maintenance.

To be successful in the role you will bring:

• Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance.
• Previous logistics experience, minimum 3 years.
• Experience and understanding of SAP and other ERP systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight time restraints.
