At Tandem Travel, part of the Air New Zealand whānau, you'll do more than arrange travel. You'll create seamless, personalised travel solutions that help our corporate customers stay connected, productive and ready for what's next.
We're looking for a customer-focused Corporate Travel Consultant to join our Auckland based team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You'll thrive on building relationships, solving problems and delivering outstanding service, bringing your travel expertise, commercial mindset and attention to detail to a team that takes pride in making every journey count.
With the backing of one of New Zealand's most recognised brands, you'll have the opportunity to grow your career while making a meaningful difference for our customers.
How you'll make an impact
- Deliver exceptional service to corporate customers, building trusted relationships that encourage loyalty and repeat business
- Create accurate, tailored travel itineraries that meet customer needs, travel policies and agreed service standards
- Identify opportunities to recommend Air New Zealand products and travel solutions that deliver value for customers and support sales targets
- Manage reservations, ticketing, amendments and travel enquiries efficiently, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish
- Resolve customer challenges with confidence and care, turning complex travel situations into positive outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues, airline partners and stakeholders to deliver timely solutions and identify new business opportunities
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance and professionalism across all travel arrangements.
What you'll bring
You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, takes ownership of customer needs and knows how to balance exceptional service with commercial results.
Ideally, you'll bring
- At least two years' experience in corporate travel consulting, supported by experience in reservations, sales or ticketing
- Flexibility to working a Tuesday to Saturday roster, should the role require it
- Experience using a Global Distribution System (GDS), QIK II or similar travel booking technology
- Sound knowledge of travel reservations, fare structures, ticketing processes and relevant industry regulations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage customers and stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to identify sales opportunities and resolve customer issues
- Confidence using digital tools, including Microsoft Office, and strong numerical skills.
A recognised travel qualification, such as a National Certificate in Travel, ATTTO Certificate or IATA qualification, would be an advantage, as would knowledge of Air New Zealand products, routes and airline partnerships.
If you bring most of this experience, along with transferable skills and the drive to grow, we'd love to hear from you.
Ready for take-off?
If you love creating great travel experiences, enjoy building lasting customer relationships and want to be part of a team that makes business travel easier, we'd love to hear from you.
Bring your expertise, curiosity and passion for service to Tandem Travel and help us connect our customers to the opportunities that matter.
Applications close Sunday, 8th November
