The Systems Specialist serves as a critical bridge between business units and technology teams across the Plan and Build phases of Cebu Pacific’s operating model. The role is responsible for eliciting, documenting, and validating business and system requirements, particularly for complex integrations, poorly articulated business processes, heavy cross-functional coordination, and early-lifecycle platforms. The Systems Specialist ensures that technology solutions are well-defined, fit for purpose, and aligned to business outcomes, thereby improving delivery quality and reducing costly rework during project execution.

Primary Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate detailed business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process mapping, and data analysis.
• Develop comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, user stories, process flows, and data mapping documents to support technology delivery.
• Facilitate requirements validation sessions with System Owner Leads, business unit stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding and sign-off on solution scope.
• Support the Project Delivery Manager by identifying requirement risks, scope ambiguities, and change impacts; maintain the requirements traceability matrix throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to test strategy definition and support user acceptance testing (UAT) by developing test scenarios, verifying test results against requirements, and documenting defects.
• Analyze existing business processes and system capabilities to identify gaps, opportunities for improvement, and alignment with the platform roadmap defined by the System Owner Lead.
• Maintain up-to-date system and process documentation, contributing to the knowledge base and supporting seamless handover to operations upon project completion.
• Exceptional requirements gathering and documentation skills; ability to translate ambiguous business needs into precise, testable specifications.
• Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders including business users, technical teams, and senior leaders.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail; able to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and edge cases in business requirements and system designs.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques including process modeling (BPMN), wireframing, data mapping, and requirements traceability.
• Working knowledge of SQL or data querying tools to support data validation and gap analysis activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA) or Agile/Scrum methodology is an advantage.
• Training or coursework in airline or aviation operations, digital transformation, or enterprise resource planning systems is desirable.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in an IT or technology delivery environment.
• Experience working on enterprise technology projects, including system integrations, API-based platforms, or multi-vendor implementations.
• Familiarity with airline systems such as Passenger Service Systems (PSS), revenue management platforms, cargo systems, loyalty platforms, or digital customer-facing applications is an advantage.
• Proven ability to document complex business processes, data flows, and system requirements using industry-standard techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML, data dictionaries).
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments and adapting documentation practices accordingly.

Note: This position is for an Individual Contributor and will be based in Pasay City, Metro Manila but currently follows a hybrid workplace flexibility arrangement.
