Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Pilot USMC Aviation to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at one of the following Northrop Grumman (NG) locations: Redondo Beach, CA, Hollywood, MD, Orlando, FL, Beavercreek, OH, Warner Robbins, GA.

Roles and Responsibilities will include:

• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance to the engineers developing mission planning solutions for USMC aviation platforms to include, but not limited to, user interface / user experience (UI/UX), mission planning workflow, operational usage, and deployment considerations
• Conduct briefings and demonstrations to aircraft platform Program Offices, Headquarters Marine Corps, Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1), Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) community, and other government agencies
• Collaborate with customer pilots for feedback on NG mission planning products towards improved warfighter capability
• Deliver training and address help desk questions from the USMC pilot community

Basic Qualifications:

• Sr. Principal Level - Bachelor's degree with 8 years aviation experience; OR Masters’ degree with 6 years aviation experience; OR a PhD with 4 years aviation experience
• USMC aviation flight experience. Minimum of 500 flight hours.
• Mission Planning experience
• Experience developing, delivering and sustaining training
• Experience with briefing senior military officers
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Active DoD Secret clearance, adjudicated within the last 5 years OR under continuous evaluation (CE)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Weapons and Tactics Instructor experience
• Military formal training unit or Squadron level instructor experience
• Experience with crew/cockpit resource management (CRM)
• Experience with Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS), Marine Air Ground Tablet (MAGTAB) mission planning capabilities, Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK), and evolving mission planning/execution technologies

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
