Solution Lead – Subsidiaries (Cathay Cargo Terminal)

Role Introduction

This role sits within the Information Technology Department (IMT), supporting one of our subsidiaries, Cathay Cargo Terminal, through the delivery and optimisation of critical business applications.

As a Solution Lead, you will bridge business and technology, driving solution design and delivery across a business domain. You will work closely with stakeholders, architects, developers and analysts to deliver high-quality products and applications while continuously improving technology capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, challenges and requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions
• Support pre-project consulting activities and contribute to the pipeline of technology initiatives within the portfolio
• Lead the design and delivery of IT products and applications that meet customer and business needs
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and architects to develop scalable, secure and effective solution designs
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Solution Analysts and act as an escalation point for solution-related issues
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across applications and technology practices throughout the application lifecycle
• Plan and deliver small to medium-scale technology initiatives, ensuring quality, security, performance and integration requirements are met
• Facilitate project governance activities and manage day-to-day delivery with internal teams and external vendors
• Contribute to resource planning and support the effective utilisation of team capabilities and external partners
• Stay current with technology trends and industry developments, applying innovative ideas to enhance business performance

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience in software development, system analysis, business analysis, solution definition and system testing
• Proven experience engaging with business stakeholders and managing client relationships
• Knowledge of database and Warehouse Operating System (WOS) is an added advantage
• Experience supporting 24/7 operational business environments is an added advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to identify patterns and recommend practical solutions
• Self-motivated, innovative and passionate about delivering business value through technology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
