As a Domain Quality Manager / Test Manager at Air France–KLM, you’ll play a key role in improving product quality and implementing innovative testing solutions.

What will you do?

In this combined role, you’ll work closely with product teams across several domains. You’ll help them develop and execute test strategies, guide them in maintaining quality, challenge them—whether invited to or not—to keep quality front of mind, and ensure test processes are organised efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating collaboration between QA, DevOps and development teams to establish an integrated testing approach;
• Maintaining testing standards and coaching teams to ensure high quality;
• Developing and implementing innovative solutions for test automation, test data and test environments;
• Keeping up with trends and technologies in software testing and applying them in practice;
• Reporting on test progress, test coverage and defects.

Your role as Domain Quality Manager (DQM)

As a DQM, you’ll be the single point of contact for testing and quality assurance within one of Air France–KLM’s domains. You’ll challenge teams, both proactively and when asked, to continuously improve quality.

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

• Analysing test processes and results, and identifying areas for improvement;
• Advising and supporting teams on quality improvements and compliance with standards;
• Managing relationships with project managers, product owners and development teams;
• Reporting on quality processes and improvement initiatives to senior management;
• Applying new developments in testing and quality management;
• Training and coaching team members.

Where do you land?

You’ll be part of Air France–KLM’s Test & Quality Assurance Center of Expertise, a team of around 80–90 professionals. You’ll support product teams across a range of domains, including Cargo, Engineering & Maintenance, IT, Ground Operations and Flight Operations. No two days are the same: one day you might be working among the cargo, the next in the hangars.

Your profile

• 5–10 years’ experience in test management and project management, both on-premises and in the cloud;
• Strong communication skills in both English and Dutch;
• Experience working with multicultural and geographically distributed teams, including teams in France and India;
• An interest in the aviation industry;
• Knowledge of and experience in test management in an Agile environment or during an Agile transformation;
• An ISTQB certification (such as ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager (CTAL-TM)) or equivalent is a strong advantage.

Tech Stack & Test Engineering
Experience with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, test automation, API testing, performance testing and automated quality checks within the delivery pipeline. Experience with Risk-Based Testing, Shift-Left/Shift-Right Testing and Quality Engineering is also a strong advantage. Knowledge of relevant testing tools, and the ability to use them effectively in a modern Agile/DevOps environment, are essential.
