About the Job
The Senior Manager – Sales Information Systems serves as the business owner for the Sales Performance Management and incentive compensation platform supporting travel agency and sales manager incentive programs. The role is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and supporting the delivery of business and digital technology solutions and partners with technology development teams and business stakeholders to drive the implementation of new system capabilities and enhancements to existing platforms. The position leads multiple teams and partners across the organization to maximize technology investments, improve operational effectiveness, and advance platform capabilities. The successful candidate will help shape technology strategies, guide organizational priorities, and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the business owner for the assigned business platform, establishing platform strategy, governance, roadmap priorities, and the long-term operating model.
- Lead collaboration with business stakeholders and end-users to define, design, implement, and manage enterprise business system solutions and technology projects.
- Maximize the value of existing business applications and technologies by aligning platform capabilities with evolving business requirements and strategic objectives.
- Identify, assess, and manage technology risks, including potential system downtime and impacts associated with system changes and enhancements.
- Partner proactively with stakeholders to improve data structures, business processes, system functionality, and overall technology effectiveness.
- Identify training and user enablement needs and partner with internal teams and external resources to secure solutions that support successful platform adoption and utilization.
- Manage functional and user acceptance testing strategies, including resource planning, execution oversight, and performance tracking to ensure successful deployments.
- Provide leadership and direction to managers, professional staff, and technology partners while executing business, operational, and organizational priorities.
- Drive strategic roadmaps, digital transformation efforts, process automation opportunities, and governance practices that support long-term technology success.
Note: This position offers a hybrid work arrangement based at Willis Tower in Chicago, IL.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience leading technology, digital product management, business systems, or enterprise application initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience leading multiple teams, professional staff, and/or external technology vendors while driving organizational priorities and business outcomes
- Strong expertise in systems design, systems integration, requirements management, business partnering, project/program management, and change management
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to translate business objectives and program requirements into system capabilities, roadmap priorities and actionable plans to deliver enterprise technology solutions and digital transformation initiatives
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years’ experience in sales operations, business systems, product/platform management or related business technology disciplines
Experience with incentive compensation programs, sales performance management platforms, or other highly configurable business platforms, such as Oracle Fusion, Oracle Incentive Compensation, or Varicent
- Experience with digital transformation, process automation, and technology governance initiatives
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence/machine learning applications in business and technology environments
- Experience managing software providers, implementation partners, and consultants, including vendor performance, knowledge transfer, documentation, and the transition to sustainable internal support
- Experience leading business platforms through implementation, stabilization, adoption, governance, and long-term operational maturity
- Demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. Apply critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies for responsible AI use, data privacy, and security.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
