Job Description
The successful candidate will join the Singapore Sales’ Sales Planning team in SIA’s Sales & Marketing Division. He/She will be responsible for developing business strategies for sales and supporting the execution of sales initiatives for the Singapore market. This is a commercially focused, analytics-driven planning role that partners closely with the Singapore sales and marketing teams, rather than a frontline sales position.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate opportunities to improve sales through rigorous, data-driven planning, performance management, pricing and analytics for the Singapore market.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop initiatives to drive growth in specific market segments, corporate accounts and agency accounts.
- Plan and distribute the annual station passenger revenue target to key origin- destinations (OD) markets.
- Execute sales steering analysis and assign sales targets to the corporate and agency sales teams to grow revenue on assigned ODs.
- Implement appropriate pricing strategies to match market demand and grow overall revenue for assigned ODs.
- Develop effective distribution and channel management strategies in the Singapore market.
- Perform regular OD analysis to ensure that SIA maintains relevant revenue contribution from key market segments in a rapidly changing market environment.
- Conduct regular analysis of the contribution of top corporate and agency accounts on key ODs.
- Drive productivity and standardisation of reports for the sales team.
- Manage and develop sales planning staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in Business/Marketing.
- Prior exposure to airline revenue management, inventory or pricing management (or similar in other industries) is an advantage.
- Experience in Sales & Marketing or commercial roles, with a data analysis background, is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with business intelligence or reporting tools (e.g. Tableau) will be an advantage.
- Able to build and maintain open and trusting partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to multi-task, work under pressure, and highly motivated to achieve optimum results.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good planning and organisation skills.
