  • Own governance of the management system architecture and controlled document library.
  • Ensure a single, centralized register for audit findings, non-conformities, complaints, corrective actions, training gaps, and equipment defects.

HSSE & Safety Management

  • Co-own the EMEAA Safety Management System alongside the VP Q-HSSE.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Oversee risk management, hazard identification, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Support the SMS Committee and regional HSSE network through effective performance monitoring and governance.
  • Act as deputy to the VP Q-HSSE when required.

ISO Strategy & Certification Governance

  • Own the regional ISO certification strategy and roadmap.
  • Ensure certification scopes remain aligned with business activities while maintaining cost-effective certification structures.
  • Provide governance, guidance, and support for country and site certification activities.

Assurance & Audit

  • Develop and oversee a risk-based integrated audit program across quality, safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Lead central Quality and HSSE audits, including unannounced inspections.
  • Ensure robust corrective action management and verification of effectiveness.
  • Monitor and address recurring findings to drive sustainable improvement.

Performance & Governance

  • Define and monitor key quality performance indicators with a focus on leading indicators.
  • Translate operational data into actionable insights and strategic decisions.
  • Lead regular quality reviews and management reviews across the region.
  • Escalate significant quality and compliance risks to executive leadership.

Competence, Culture & Third-Party Oversight

  • Ensure competency standards and qualification requirements are effective for safety-critical roles.
  • Promote a strong reporting culture focused on accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure suppliers, contractors, and agency personnel meet company quality and HSSE standards.

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Aviation, Science, or a related field.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor qualification preferred.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSSE qualification is advantageous.
  • Membership of professional bodies such as CQI, IOSH, or similar is desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Quality Management or Integrated Management Systems.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Proven success developing and operating integrated, multi-site management systems within an international organization.
  • Experience in aviation ground services, aviation fuelling, or another highly regulated, high-hazard industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS), ISO standards, and industry regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working with executive leadership teams and leading management reviews.

Leadership Competencies

  • Strategic and forward-thinking leader with a strong execution focus.
  • Ability to influence across a matrix organization without direct operational authority.
  • Collaborative partner capable of building strong relationships across Operations, OPEX, HSSE, and business leadership.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both executives and front-line teams.
  • High integrity, independence, and professional credibility.
  • Fluent English required; Spanish, German, or French would be an advantage.
