Job Summary

Act as business partner to the site/entity manufacturing process managers and leadership in assuring and improving the manufacturing processes and product/service quality performance.

To provide Internal (1st Party) audit capability for the assessment of the manufacturing processes and products/services, ensuring process compliance, robustness and effectiveness in relation to the Customer requirements, quality needs and expectations. To plan, host and support external (customer, regulatory and other 3rd parties) audits.

To report & ensure conclusion on non-compliances, as well as highlighting improvement & best practice sharing opportunities and help drive a value added, continual improvement culture through the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling and managing quality system pre-assessments, auditing and source inspection activities individually and with team personnel. Be familiar with destructive and non-destructive testing, verification of physical, chemical, dimensional and operational characteristics of raw material, component parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers; audit inspection methods and techniques; initiate corrective and preventive action plans; determine performance measures; participate in evaluations; and lead special projects.

• • Understand and work to the requirements and criteria for Quality auditing as addressed in the American Society for Quality Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) Code of Ethics and Body of Knowledge.

    • Audit Reporting: Review and Finalize Audit Results; Written Report Format and Content; Issue Written Report; Audit Records Retention
    • Corrective Action Follow-Up and Closure: Corrective Action Follow-up; Closure (Closed-Loop System)
    • Audit Program Management: Administration; Process; Audit Personnel
    • General Knowledge and Skills: Auditing Basics - (Purpose, Benefits and Objectives; Types of Audits and Responsibilities; Audit Preparation, Execution and Reporting; Audit Characteristics; Audit Terms and Definitions; Professional Auditor Conduct and Ethics; Standards of Audit Performance; Audit Administration and Team Management; Audit Implémentation; Audit Analysais; Audit Reporting, Corrective Action, Follow-Up and Closure; Auditing Tools and Techniques (Observation, Physical Examination, Flowcharts, Process Maps, Pattern and Trend Analysis, Root Cause Analysis); Basic Tools and Techniques Skills; Sampling Terms and Plans; Attributes (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4); Variables (ANSI/ASQ Z1.9); Operating Characteristic (OC) Curve

  Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred or five years or more experience in the quality field.
  • MUST BE A U.S Citizen.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, test methods and statistics.
  • Experience with manufacturing standards and manufacturing process control techniques.
  • American Society for Quality Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification is highly desired
  • Experience with MS Office
  • SAP experience preferred
