Manage the US Corporate Sales efforts to ensure achievement of the revenue sales target in accordance with company commercial and marketing objectives. In a highly competitive and mature sophisticated market, continuously develop strategies and initiatives to be ahead of the competition in order to identify and target potential incremental business, and increase market share of the premium business segments.
- Administer all major national corporate and TMC incentive agreements including AMEX, BCD, and Support Commercial Account Managers in their negotiation and administration of all corporate account incentive agreements.
- Administer and monitor all Travel Agency Sales Agreements on a monthly basis, examining the Salesforce.com data and interrogating the US MIDT information. Take appropriate action to reverse adverse trends.
- Keep abreast of Industry and market place pricing and products, particularly in respect of EK competitors. Ensure the administration of exhibitions, functions, agency & corporate educational flights and event co-ordination is handled professionally and in line with EK standards.
- Anticipate competitor activities by monitoring market trends and initiate sales strategies in a timely manner to out manoeuvre competitors. Make recommendations which require commercial policy changes e.g. alterations to US agency commission levels etc.
- Brief and coach all US sales staff on agency incentive agreements, national revenue generating initiatives, corporate value added products and promotions. In accordance with company commercial policy, ensure the US Sales Force remains focused on the corporate sector generating premium revenue.
- In conjunction with HQ corporate communications, instigate and manage for US, themed tactical promotional roadshows, Business Travel trade activities, agency promotions and premium travel Direct Mail initiatives.
- Monitor and assess agents for any credit worthiness risks using available tools (RDOC, CRM AI app) and aim to mitigate risks as effectively as possible
QUALIFICATIONS
Educated to at least degree level
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years’ experience in all aspects of the airline sales environment including at least 3 years in a team leading/supervisory capacity.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Advanced in negotiation techniques and territorial management
- Ability to analyse and interpret statistical information for presentation to varying levels of audience from junior to the most senior
- Mature, professional attitude with the ability to work under pressure, to deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a pleasant, outgoing personality.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff
