Role Introduction

Reports to: Assistant Engineering Manager (TPE)

Location/ Country: Taipei/ Taiwan

Lead and certify aircraft maintenance activities that ensure the highest standards of safety, reliability and operational performance for Cathay operations at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport. Working on a shift basis, you will supervise routine and non-routine maintenance, coordinate with operational teams, and oversee station engineering activities to support a seamless customer journey.

Drawing on your technical expertise and leadership capability, you will develop Aircraft Mechanics, drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with company, customer and aviation authority requirements. Every decision you make helps deliver a safe and dependable travel experience that moves our customers forward in life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and certify routine and non-routine maintenance activities for Cathay Group and applicable third-party customer aircraft.
  • Coordinate with operational teams to deliver safe, reliable and on-time aircraft operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, aviation authority, occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Oversee the performance of ground handling suppliers and maintain station engineering standards.
  • Execute contingency plans and support operational disruptions, diversions, charters and aircraft type changes.
  • Manage employee rosters and leave plans to optimise manpower utilisation and support operational requirements.
  • Maintain station documentation, permits and operational records to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Lead, coach and develop Aircraft Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics through training, guidance and performance conversations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, productivity and service performance.
  • Support emergency, accident and crisis response activities as required.

Requirements

  • Taiwan Permanent Resident or Taiwan Employment Gold Card holder.
  • Hold a B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence issued by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD) or an equivalent authority, with the appropriate aircraft type endorsement.
  • Possess a minimum of five years' experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Demonstrate solid operational and technical aircraft maintenance knowledge.
  • Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Show experience leading and coaching teams to achieve operational objectives.
  • Be able to work on a shift basis.
  • Be willing to undertake local or overseas operational relief duties when required.
