Head of Crew Resources

OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Head of Crew Resources is responsible for overseeing the planning and management of flight crew and cabin crew rosters throughout the complete life-cycle of a roster from publication through the daily operations ensuring that all crew members are scheduled efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

Responsibilities

The Head of Crew Resources is responsible for the administration and set-up of the crew rostering software, ensuring that it is properly configured to company policies and procedures regarding Flight Time Limitations (FTL), Fatigue Risk Management and Crew contractual provisions. The Head of Crew Resources plays a key role in optimising crew resource allocation to meet KM Malta Airlines’ (KMMA) operational needs while ensuring adherence to safety requirements, cost-effectiveness, and regulations.

This role requires ownership to manage all processes related to the allocation of crew for flying and standby duties, ensuring that crew duty rosters and crew planners consider factors such as fatigue risk management, training, annual line checks, medical visits, off days, vacation leave, and crew requests.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a rostering managerial role.
• Experience with manpower planning and analysis.
• Experience with IT systems, particularly operational crew software.
• A strong technical background is preferred.
• Familiarity with Airlines Operational Manuals and procedures.
• Excellent communication, supervisory, and leadership skills.
