The Ramp Service Agent plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our airline. In this role, you'll support aircraft arrivals and departures by handling baggage, cargo, mail, and aircraft servicing activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and customer service. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced airport environment as part of a dedicated team that keeps our operation moving.
What you'll do

- Load, unload, sort, and transport baggage, cargo, and mail between aircraft, terminals, and designated airport facilities.
- Handle cargo documentation and complete operational paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Perform data entry and maintain records necessary to support operational requirements.
- Clean and service aircraft interiors, including passenger cabins, cockpit areas, and lavatories.
- Transport and replenish aircraft furnishings, supplies, and equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform exterior aircraft servicing, including potable water, lavatory servicing, external power connections, air start, and pre-conditioned air support.
- Inspect and monitor fluid levels and equipment as required.
- Support aircraft arrival and departure activities, including pushback, towing, marshalling, and guide person functions.
- Operate ground service equipment and vehicles safely in congested ramp areas.
- May operate forklifts, buses, and de-icing equipment when qualified and authorized.
- Participate in de-icing operations, including preparing and applying approved de-icing solutions.
- Follow all company, airport authority, safety, and security requirements.
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all applicable operational procedures.
- This position is considered safety-sensitive.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license as required by local authorities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required airport security clearances and access privileges.
- Basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry.
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately complete operational documentation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and shift work as operationally required.
- Ability to distinguish the colors red, green, and yellow.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 32 kg (70 lbs) and occasionally heavier weights with assistance.
- Ability to manually handle items of varying sizes, shapes, and weights.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work outdoors for extended periods of time in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment in close proximity to aircraft and ground equipment.
- Ability to use depth perception and spatial awareness to safely position equipment around aircraft.
- Ability to perform duties requiring physical stamina and repetitive movements.
Additional Requirements
- Must successfully complete government-required criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access to airport security identification display areas.
- Must obtain and maintain applicable airport authority and/or Transport Canada security clearances.
- Ability to handle small quantities of approved dangerous goods and hazardous materials in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced operational environment while adhering to all safety and security requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous airline, airport, logistics, warehouse, cargo, transportation, or ramp operations experience.
- Experience operating ground service equipment, forklifts, or commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of airport safety procedures and aircraft servicing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
