  • Creating and updating work orders and related documentation to the required standard.
  • Helping to keep facility areas accessible and safe during maintenance activities.
  • Identifying and reporting occupational health and safety issues through the Jet Aviation Safety Management System.
  • Complying with and promoting Jet Aviation’s WHS, environmental, compliance and customer-focused programs.
  • Undertaking other reasonable duties assigned by the Supervisor that are appropriate to your qualifications and skill level.

What will Help you to Succeed

You will be well suited to this role if you have:
  • An approved trade assistant course, which is desirable.
  • A trade background or mechanical and maintenance aptitude, preferably.
  • The ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • An understanding of, or the ability to rapidly develop knowledge of, WHS/OHS requirements and regulations relevant to the aviation industry.
  • An understanding of various tools and their functions, or the ability to develop this knowledge quickly.
  • Computer literacy, including experience with enterprise resource planning systems, Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A technical, customer and results-focused approach.
  • A proactive, self-motivated and practical working style.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and autonomously when required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
The role requires you to work across hangar, workshop, office, customer and outdoor environments. You should be comfortable working in variable weather conditions and around noise, vibration, occasional fuel fumes and seasonal temperature extremes.
