Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for a Systems Engineer based out of Huntsville, Alabama for the IBCS Poland Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS). IBCS Poland Integrated Battle Command System is a revolutionary, network enabled command-and control system developed by Northrop Grumman that Poland has deployed to unify its air and missile defense sensors and shooters. IBCS Poland Integrated Battle Command System delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas. By implementing IBCS Poland Integrated Battle Command System into their militaries, the US and other nations are transforming their integrated missile defense capabilities in a consistent manner.
The ideal candidate will have experience in systems engineering lifecycle of missile/weapon system development program(s), system requirements, obsolescence notice, technical impact, risk, Engineering Analysis, Change Proposal, verification and Configuration Baselines. The candidate will have technical familiarity system level analysis, DoD program environments experience and familiarity with DOD standards They will have technical knowledge in one or more of the subsystems of missile/weapon system, e.g., RF/sensors, guidance, command & control systems.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with identifying and assessing obsolete, discontinued, or at-risk components
- Systems Engineer (Level 2): 2 years with bachelor’s degree in science, 0 Years with Masters
- Experience with Part/component lifecycle monitoring
- Familiar with Manufacturer and supplier research
- Familiar with Obsolescence forecasting
- Experience in SAFe Agile practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Requirements and Interface definition experience
- System analysis experience
- Active Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- JIRA and Confluence experience
- Cross-team collaboration experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Project
- Technical experience with IAMD
- Experience working across systems engineering, software, network, and test organizations
- Experience with configuration management, change management and cybersecurity requirements
