Distribution Supervisor - Jetpak Cargo

VACANCY NOTICE

We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the position of:

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Jetpak; the Distribution Supervisor – Jetpak Operations is responsible for overseeing warehouse distribution activities to ensure accurate, efficient and seamless operations. The role coordinates deliveries and shipments, manages schedules, assigns tasks, monitors workforce performance, maintains transaction records and ensures customer expectations are consistently met in accordance with established service-level agreements. Appointment to this position will be offered on a fixed-term contractual basis. The duration of the contract is two (2) years.

KEY DELIVERABLES

• Operational Effectiveness: Effectively schedule, coordinate, monitor and track progress of deliveries, proper accounting/reconciliation, fleet management, identify gaps in existing processes and make recommendations for corrective actions to improve the operations' customer experience and overall efficiency.
• Customer Service: Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring accuracy of goods.
• Continuous improvement: Support the development of a culture of constant improvement by continuously measuring the internal and external factors and develop new and efficient ways to drive threbusiness opportunities.
• Reporting: Measure and provide reports on distribution related activities and employee performance.
• Supervision: Supervise and provide leadership to the team, including hiring, training and coordinating work assignments and reports (to ensure compliance with procedures and standards).

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or an equivalent qualification, together with at least three years’ experience in a similar supervisory role in Distribution or Delivery. The role requires the ability to perform effectively under demanding time constraints and production targets, supported by strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal and Microsoft Office skills. Possession of a Heavy T licence would be considered an asset.
