Role Introduction

Passionate about eCommerce, digital analytics and turning data into commercial results? Join Cathay and play a key role in growing online revenue across Europe.

This is a commercial analytics role supporting the performance of Cathay's website and mobile app. Working at the intersection of data, digital sales and strategy, you will use customer, sales and behavioural insights to influence decision-making, optimise the customer journey and identify opportunities for growth. Partnering with teams across Europe and Head Office in Hong Kong, you will help shape how one of the world's leading airline brands drives performance through its owned digital channels.

Bring together data from tools such as Excel, Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, Qlik Sense and other travel platforms to uncover trends, identify opportunities and measure the impact of regional initiatives. Partner with commercial teams, channel specialists and business stakeholders across the region and head office to turn complex data into clear, practical actions that deliver results.

Your insights will help shape regional direct-sales performance, strengthen a data-led culture and create better experiences for customers, giving you the opportunity to make a visible impact while helping move people forward in life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse daily, weekly and monthly channel data to monitor performance, identify improvements and provide informed consultancy and challenge to the direct retail team.
  • Collaborate with the Business Insights and Analytics team and other stakeholders to keep data aligned, shared and relevant.
  • Identify performance trends, historical patterns, target customer segments, gaps and opportunities across direct channels for local and head office teams.
  • Translate findings into actionable recommendations for the regional digital sales team.
  • Conduct ad hoc studies with channel specialists, regional leadership and direct retail colleagues to address potential business needs and emerging market challenges.
  • Define regional data-collection, reporting and analytical processes with the regional business development team.
  • Build wider team capability by applying Cathay Pacific’s data-analysis tools and mentoring colleagues in their use.
  • Connect direct-sales channel information with broader Cathay Pacific performance data and track and communicate direct-channel key performance indicators.
  • Support regional direct retail campaigns and complete other reporting and analysis as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and undertake Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Degree, post-secondary diploma or certificate, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, is required.
  • At least two years’ ecommerce or marketing data-analysis experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, together with essential expert numerical and statistical analysis skills.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics, QlikView and Qlik Sense is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or another content management system, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, is advantageous but not required.
  • Demonstrable campaign-environment experience, including an understanding of campaign timing, rollout and timely reporting, plus comfort with a test-and-learn approach focused on continuous improvement.
  • Good presentation, forward-planning and time-management skills; a self-driven approach and passion for data analysis; and effective written and verbal communication that can be adapted for different audiences across a global team.
