The role

Expression of Interest: Associate Systems Engineer
Saab Australia is seeking aspiring Systems Engineer to join our growing teams in Mawson Lakes, South Australia. This role offers the opportunity to develop your systems engineering skills while supporting the delivery and sustainment of leading-edge defence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in gathering and analysing system requirements from stakeholders.
• Support the development of requirements documentation and traceability matrices.
• Contribute to the creation of system architecture and design specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure system requirements are met.
• Aid in the integration of hardware and software components into the system.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to implement system solutions and configurations.
• Participate in testing activities, including functional, integration, and system testing.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

• Up to 2 years’ experience in Systems Engineering activities prior to this role.
• Fundamental understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
• Basic familiarity with military systems or related defence technologies is desirable.
• Familiarity of System Engineering in an ASDEFCON context is desirable.

All Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level. Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes, including ITAR.

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.
