It's not just about giving our best every day. The challenge is to find new ways to exceed our customers' expectations. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for reliable and committed professionals to join our organization.

YOUR TASKS:

The role is responsible for the worldwide procurement and provision of materials and services required to support the continued operation of the European DHL fleet (EAT LEJ + DHL Air UK), as well as the fleets of other DHL operators supported by EAT on a full, partial, or ad hoc basis.

The following tasks await you:

  • Procurement and delivery of ad hoc materials, supplies, and services required for aircraft maintenance and repair activities for EAT LEJ and other DHL operators and maintenance organizations supported by EAT LEJ (e.g. outstations, C-check organizations, etc.). This includes:
    • Conducting worldwide market research to identify required aircraft parts, products, and/or aircraft tooling from existing and new suppliers.
    • Negotiating with suppliers and selecting the best purchasing option based on cost, quality, technical requirements, delivery lead time, and supplier reliability.
    • Identifying transportation options and selecting the most suitable shipping method based on transit time and cost to ensure on-time delivery.
    • Preparing and presenting procurement solutions in the form of a Cost Approval Sheet for management approval in accordance with the applicable authorization matrix.
    • Proactively monitoring all shipments through to final delivery, including initiating corrective actions such as rerouting when necessary.
    • Resolving issues arising during the procurement and delivery process, including transportation disruptions (e.g. flight cancellations requiring rerouting), priority changes, customs issues, part discrepancies upon arrival, invoicing problems, and technical questions.
    • Communicating supply solutions to all stakeholders and providing continuous status updates.
  • Identifying and resolving supplier-related issues based on supplier performance evaluations (e.g. ORD, unit/serviceability on fit, etc.) and actively tracking delivery performance.
  • Conducting market analyses for the Repair Department to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of repairing components versus purchasing replacements. This includes:
    • Performing global market research to identify suitable materials and service providers.
    • Negotiating and selecting the best commercial solution based on cost, quality, technical requirements, delivery lead time, and supplier reliability.
    • Communicating and, where applicable, procuring the preferred option(s).
  • Managing and processing all administrative tasks related to the supply of parts, materials, and services, including order tracking.
  • Close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders is required for all responsibilities listed above, including suppliers and manufacturers of aircraft parts, repair stations, freight forwarders, DG certification bodies, DHL Air UK (EMA), other airlines, outstations, and maintenance organizations. This requires a good understanding of the roles and processes of these organizations to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participation in cross-functional projects.

YOUR PROFILE:
